πŸŽ’✨“The Wrong Report Card We Never Forget! πŸ˜‚

It was during my daughter’s 2nd class Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) — that time of year when parents eagerly await πŸ“„ report cards and teachers share their thoughts πŸ§‘‍🏫.

It was a pleasant πŸŒ€️ September morning. Me, my husband, and our daughter reached school by 9 a.m. While she happily ran off to the playground πŸ› to enjoy the slide and see-saw, my husband said confidently,

“I’ll go meet the teacher and collect her report card.”

A few minutes later, he returned proudly holding the card πŸŽ“. We finished chatting with other parents πŸ‘¨‍πŸ‘©‍πŸ‘§ and were about to leave.

Just as we stepped out of the school gate πŸšͺ, curiosity struck me — I asked him to hand over the report card so I could see her marks πŸ“˜.

As expected, our little champ πŸ… had done well every time, so I was smiling in advance πŸ˜Š. But this time… πŸ˜³ surprise awaited!

The report card was not my daughter’s! πŸ˜…

I flipped open the first page and was greeted by a stamp-size photo of a little boy! πŸ‘¦

I looked at my husband in disbelief πŸ˜² —

 “This isn’t her card!”

He confidently replied, “Of course it is.”

I pointed to the photo and the name — and we both burst out laughing πŸ€£.

I rushed back to the class πŸ« where the teacher and the other child’s parents were waiting anxiously πŸ˜¬ for someone to come back. We exchanged the cards, all relieved and amused πŸ˜Œ.

Moral: Sometimes small mix-ups bring big laughs and lasting memories! πŸ’–
